Historic Bank Opens on Original Avenue
After months of speculation that the Brick Bank franchise was coming to town, MoreCityBricks residents were stunned to find that a home-grown bank opened its doors first.
"I thought Mayor Builder had received the necessary approval for a Brick Bank franchise on Official Avenue," said Alma Cash. "I was ready to put all my cash in that type of bank. I'm not too sure about this historic bank."
Mayor
Builder urged residents to use the bank regardless of whether it is an
original or official building. "It's a bank, people. It has a vault,
tellers, and money. That's what banks are."
The
historic bank is rumored to be among the first MoreCityBricks'
buildings nominated for the National Register of Historic Places. There
is no word yet on whether simply naming a building "historic" makes it
eligible for placement on the list.
